Brown has warned that terrorist groups such as al-Qaida could exploit instability in the Middle East to establish safe havens. Brown told The Associated Press in the interview that al-Qaida was already taking advantage of political disarray in Yemen to organize its operations. He says Somalia has also been used as a staging post for terror attacks in Africa and the world needs to be vigilant against this happening elsewhere.
