A Mapuche woman is detained by police officers during a demonstration in support of four imprisoned Mapuche activists outside of Chile's Supreme Court in Santiago, Chile, Friday, June 3, 2011. A ruling by the Supreme Court failed to resolve a conflict over violent land protests by Mapuche Indians. The Court reduced some sentences but then added others in the case of the four Mapuche activists who attacked police and a prosecutor in 2008. It downgraded their convictions from attempted murder to assault, but then added robbery. Now the men face eight or 15 years in prison.
