The duo was held on $500,000 bond, and prosecutors told a judge they plan to file additional charged in the case. Troconis is reportedly out on bail, while Dulos is not. The newspaper reports that both have declined to cooperate in the investigation.Dulos, who has five children with Fotis Dulos and has been enmeshed in a bitter divorce proceeding for two years, has been missing since May 24.He'll 'Harm Me': Connecticut Mom Jennifer Dulos Missing Amid Two-Year Divorce BattleAccording to the warrants, police went to the mom's home after she failed to show up to multiple doctor's appointment in New York and concerned friends contacted police in New Canaan around 7 p.m. on May 24.Arriving officers found no one home but were able to gain access after friends encouraged a nanny to let police inside. During the search, officers found stains on the garage floor and on a vehicle in the garage, and evidence that someone had tried to clean up the crime scene, the warrants say.The also located a Chevy Suburban registered to Jennifer Dulos about three miles from her home, but no sign of her in or near the vehicle, the documents say.Based on what was recovered from the crime scene, "investigators came to the consensus that a serious physical assault had occurred at the scene and Jennifer Dulos was the suspected victim," the affidavit says.The next day, officers briefly interviewed Fotis Dulos, who met investigators with his attorney at his side and declined to assist in the investigation, but handed his iPhone X to a detective who seized the cellphone, believing it contained evidence of a crime, the affidavit says. Search warrants for the phone place the estranged husband in north Hartford on the night of May 24, the affidavit states. Investigators coupled the cellphone data with footage from surveillance cameras monitored by the Hartford Police Department that show a man who looks like Dulos and a passenger who resembles Troconis driving in a pickup truck that makes more than 30 stops along a four-mile stretch of Albany Avenue discarding trash bags that appear to be stained with blood, the affidavit says. The license plate on the truck appears to match one owned by Fotis Dulos and a sticker matching one on his truck appears in the surveillance footage as well, the affidavit says. The footage shows the bags being thrown into various trash receptacles and in once instance something being pushed through a storm grate, the affidavit states. Investigators responding to the storm grate recovered an envelope that contained two Connecticut license plates that were registered to a SUV owned by Fotis Dulos, the affidavit says. Investigators searched for the trash bags and recovered bags that are consistent with those seen on surveillance cameras, the affidavit says. There's concern that systems running older versions of Windows like Windows 7 are especially vulnerable to Bluekeep.The NSA's advisory, which you can read in full here, notes that Bluekeep is a vulnerability in the remote desktop feature on legacy versions of Windows. "The National Security Agency is urging Microsoft Windows administrators and users to ensure they are using a patched and updated system in the face of growing threats," the advisory reads.Microsoft, it continues, has warned that the Bluekeep flaw "is potentially 'wormable,' meaning it could spread without user interaction across the internet. We have seen devastating computer worms inflict damage on unpatched systems with wide-ranging impact, and are seeking to motivate increased protections against this flaw."The advisory notes that these are the affected versions of Windows: * Windows XP * Windows Server 2003 * Windows Vista * Windows Server 2008 * Windows 7 * Windows Server 2008 R2Microsoft has issued a patch, but millions of machines are reportedly still vulnerable. The president of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists called the bills "arbitrary" bans not reflective of fetal development or science. "Arbitrary gestational age bans on abortion at six weeks that use the term 'heartbeat' to define the gestational development being targeted do not reflect medical accuracy or clinical understanding," said Dr Ted Anderson, president of ACOG. The organization represents 58,000 physicians across the US. Sign up for the US morning briefing "Pregnancy and fetal development are a continuum. What is interpreted as a heartbeat in these bills is actually electrically induced flickering of a portion of the fetal tissue that will become the heart as the embryo develops," Anderson said. "Thus, ACOG does not use the term 'heartbeat' to describe these legislative bans on abortion because it is misleading language, out of step with the anatomical and clinical realities of that stage of pregnancy," Anderson said. The ACOG president called on politicians to base policy on "science and evidence". In addition, the Guardian has updated its style guide more accurately to reflect abortion bans spreading across the United States. Instead of using "fetal heartbeat bills", as the laws are often called by anti-abortion campaigners, the Guardian will make "six-week abortion ban" the preferred term for the laws, unless quoting someone, in order to better reflect the practical effect of the laws. State abortion bans have been enacted from Ohio to Kentucky, in a new and severe strategy from rightwing groups pushing to make abortion illegal. The bans, dubbed "heartbeat" bills by supporters, have the practical effect of banning abortion before most women know they are pregnant. Abortion is legal in all 50 states despite the bans. Anti-abortion campaigners hope the court battles will prompt the US supreme court to reconsider the 1973 landmark decision Roe v Wade, which legalized abortion. The laws are all expected to be challenged in court, and are highly unlikely ever to go into effect. While states have long sought to heavily regulate abortion, outright bans on the procedure were once rare. Nevertheless, abortion care has not always remained accessible. Highly restrictive state regulations have driven many clinics out of business. There are six states that each have only one abortion clinic. In Missouri, the state's last remaining abortion clinic is fighting the state health authorities in order to stay open. Obstetrician and gynecologist Dr Sarah Horvath said that accurately describing the bans is important, to avoid confusion among patients and providers alike. "I don't think the coverage tends to line up with medical reality," said Horvath. "No one seems to know what is allowed – and what isn't – even when it's medically appropriate," she said. Several state bans allow for criminal penalties for doctors performing abortions, including a 99-year penalty in Alabama. Physicians said the bans, if they ever went into effect, will have life-threatening consequences for women. "There's this noble ideal you all have," she said about reporters, but added, "But one is a viewpoint, and one is science and medicine."

Instead, he has a long history participating in controversial right-wing events around Boston as an organizer for Resist Marxism, a group Chapman founded at the height of the fame he earned attacking left-wing anti-fascist activists with his eponymous "stick."Chapman appears to no longer be involved with the group now that he's facing felony charges in two states over two assaults. But Sahady has taken up his position, organizing Resist Marxism events around the Boston area. In Facebook posts, Sahady has endorsed the far-right "helicopter" meme, which calls for liberals to be thrown from helicopters as in Augusto Pinochet's Chile. "We may get to throw anti-American communists from helicopters sooner than we thought," Sahady wrote in one Facebook post. Resist Marxism's politics get even uglier, though. In leaked internal chats published in 2018, members frequently made anti-Semitic jokes and used anti-Semitic slurs. At least one Resist Marxism event had security provided by Patriot Front, a white-nationalist hate group.Sahady isn't the only Straight Pride Parade organizer with ties to Resist Marxism. Another promoter, John Hugo, unsuccessfully ran for Congress last year with an endorsement and organizing support from the group.It's not clear that the parade will even happen, in part because Sahady has a history of failing to pull off his events. Last August, Sahady tried to organize a National March Against Far-Left Violence. The event's Facebook page linked to a website offering free T-shirts for attendees, as long as they provided their names and addresses. The T-shirt site was later revealed to be an antifascist sting against Sahady and his compatriots, some of whom had accidentally handed their names and addresses over to their ideological enemies. A source familiar with the Boston government's permitting process told Right Richter that Sahady had not been granted permit so far. Several members of the Board of Supervisors voiced deep concerns Tuesday about the possibility of taking away a person's civil liberties, but the proposal for a pilot program passed 10-1. Mayor London Breed and other supporters say the move — known as conservatorship — is necessary to help people who are often homeless, addicted to drugs and have a mental illness, making them a danger to themselves.

| Actually, iTunes isn’t dead Posted: 05 Jun 2019 07:35 AM PDT  Apple earlier this week finally "killed" iTunes on Mac, just as the rumors that preceded WWDC 2019 claimed it would -- but there's really no reason to panic. macOS Catalina will have independent Music, Podcast, and Apple TV apps, and the iTunes features you might be using right now will be spread between these as well as the Finder, which will handle all the iPhone and iPad backups and sync sessions you need. The changes make perfect sense in light of the evolutions of various Apple services. iTunes is just too crowded to handle everything, especially with the imminent arrival of the Apple TV+ streaming service. So that's what killing iTunes on the Mac means... but if you're a Windows PC, you should know nothing changes and iTunes will still be alive and well for years to come. It's a lot easier for Apple to split the iTunes app into different apps that will handle specific needs on the Mac because these apps ship with the operating system. Once you install macOS Catalina later this year, you'll get the new iTunes experience as explained above.Needless to say, it's far more challenging to pull off the same move on platforms that Apple doesn't own, as is the case with Windows. That's because users would have to download all the new apps from the Windows stores once Apple deprecates the current iTunes version.For the time being, iTunes on Windows remains exactly as it is, Ars Technica explains. Apple said iTunes on Windows will not see any changes and it'll work just like it does now. That doesn't mean Apple will never break it apart, and as I said before, it makes sense to give up iTunes and replace it with multiple apps to handle the various features available in the application.But Windows 10 users will be able to manage all their iTunes digital content -- whether it's music, movies, or podcasts -- from the same app. They'll still be able to back up iPhone and iPad locally using iTunes, as well as sync their content across devices. You know, until Apple decides the Windows version of iTunes needs fixing, too.

| Amazon says drone deliveries coming 'within months' Posted: 05 Jun 2019 12:34 PM PDT  Amazon said Wednesday it expects to begin large-scale deliveries by drone in the coming months as it unveiled its newest design for its "Prime Air" fleet. Jeff Wilke, head of Amazon's consumer operations, told the company's Machine Learning, Automation, Robotics and Space conference in Las Vegas that drones would play a role in ramping up efforts to shorten delivery times for many items to just one day for Amazon Prime members. Amazon offered no details about where or when the drone deliveries would be operational.
